Specifications
Read from NovaStar's published specification document. Read twice from the same document: once as extracted text, once rendered as an image and read by eye. The two reads agree.

Sizing
Each line below follows from the table above or, where it says so, from our own commissioning. Either side of the VX600 sits a model that suits a different shape of job. We will not print a pixel count at which you should switch: that depends on your cabinet, and we would rather check the layout than have you act on a number we made up.
HDMI and DVI input top out at 1920 × 1200 at 60 Hz. The wall can be 10,240 px wide, but a picture wider than its input is scaled up to fill it.
That is the rated capacity. The VX1000 takes 6.5 million over 10 Gigabit ports.
It is set up in NovaLCT, which in our experience is an engineer’s tool. Where the people running the wall are not technicians, a COEX controller suits better: its VMP software is graphical, and new users find their way around it quickly. The MX20 is the COEX model nearest in capacity.
See the MX20 →A small fixed wall or a single rental screen: 2.6 million pixels over 4 Gigabit ports. Two layers is the limit that bites. One picture-in-picture is fine; a second, or a logo over the PIP, needs the VX600.
A mid-size wall fed at 1080p: a church side screen, a stage backdrop, a lobby. 3.9 million pixels over 6 Gigabit ports with three layers. Input tops out at 1920 × 1200, so on a wide wall the picture is scaled up. That is fine for slides and video, and the wrong box for native-resolution content.
The largest of the plain VX boxes: 6.5 million pixels over 10 Gigabit ports, three layers, and processing and sending in one rack unit. The usual answer for a rental wall or a fixed screen fed from a laptop or a switcher. It is not a 4K60 processor: HDMI input stops at 3840 × 1080 at 60 Hz, or full 4K at 30 Hz.

What else the run needs
What decides a controller purchase is rarely the controller. It is whether the unit is on a shelf near you, who maps your cabinets, and whether the cable and power for the run ship with it.
Send the cabinet model and the layout. If the VX600 is the wrong tier for that pixel count, we will say so before the invoice, not after the wall is up. Over-specifying costs you money; under-specifying costs you the project.
NCE certification means the person who maps your cabinets works here. No factory escalation, no time-zone gap on a load-in day, and the same engineer is still reachable when phase two starts.
Cat6 snakes, fiber, and Socapex and Camlock distribution for the same run are stocked in Anaheim, so the install does not stop while a cable ships. See the cable catalog →
On project and multi-unit purchases, send the cabinet count and ask for a quote.
Questions
$1,444 at PixelPro Productions in Anaheim, California, for a single unit. It carries a 3-year warranty. Project and multi-unit pricing is quoted privately — send the cabinet count and the install date and a written quote comes back the same business day.
Total the finished pixel count, including whatever phase two adds, and compare it against the rated loading capacity above.
They are read from NovaStar’s own published specification document rather than copied from another seller. The document and the date we checked it are printed under the table, so you can verify any row rather than take our word for it.
Common controller models, the VX600 among them, are held at 3111 E Miraloma Ave, Anaheim. Send the cabinet model and layout and we will confirm availability against your install date in the same reply.
Our own engineers. NovaStar NCE certification is held in-house, so cabinet mapping and fault diagnosis happen here rather than as a support ticket into a factory queue — which on a load-in day is the difference between a fix today and a fix after the time-zone gap closes.
Both. Installation is performed under California contractor license CSLB #1063528 (General B), which is what allows us to touch structure, conduit and power rather than only hang a screen. We also sell the controller on its own to integrators running their own build.
