BD series · fixed installation

Where it fits, and where it does not

The thin, wall-mounted P2.5 panel behind most of our church walls. 640 × 480 mm, 38 mm deep, serviced from the front, so it goes flat on a wall with no service aisle behind it.

Use it for

  • Permanent indoor walls: sanctuaries, lobbies, retail, conference rooms
  • Flat wall mounting where there is no room to walk behind the screen
  • Viewers from about 2.5 m (8 ft) back
  • Rooms that livestream or film: 7680 Hz keeps scan lines off the camera

Not for

  • Touring and rental: the BD2.5 has no flight-case hardware or curve locks. That is the DN 2.6.
  • Outdoors or anywhere wet: IP30.
  • Seats closer than about 2 m: look at a finer pitch.

Also in stock: Gloshine DN 2.6, the rental and stage panel →

Questions

What buyers ask about the BD2.5

How many BD2.5 cabinets do you have?

500+ cabinets in our Anaheim warehouse. That is enough for a 10 m church wall several times over, so a quote is against stock on the shelf, not a factory lead time.

Can I buy cabinets without installation?

Yes. Integrators and dealers buy by the case or by the cabinet, with spare modules and the receiving-card configuration file. Registered dealers see their pricing at /dealers/. Or we supply and install the whole wall: structure, power, processor and commissioning.

What size wall can I build?

Width in 640 mm steps and height in 480 mm steps. Four cabinets wide by three high is exactly 16:9 (2.56 × 1.44 m, 1024 × 576 pixels); eight by six is 5.12 × 2.88 m at 2048 × 1152. Send the wall width and the room depth and we will draw it.

Will it look right on camera and on our livestream?

Yes. The BD2.5 cabinets we stock run at a 7680 Hz refresh rate, so phones, PTZ cameras and broadcast cameras record the wall without rolling scan lines or flicker, including at faster shutter speeds. Our church walls on it are streamed every week.

Is it ETL certified?

The BD2.5 is ETL certified. A copy of the certificate is available on request.

What processor drives it?

NovaStar receiving cards in every cabinet, so any NovaStar sender or all-in-one controller. A 4 × 3 wall runs from a VX400; our larger church walls run on an MX30 or a VX16s. We are a NovaStar dealer and commission it ourselves.

What is the warranty?

2 years on the panels, with spare modules from the same batch so a repaired section matches the rest of the wall.

How much is it?

We quote rather than list a cabinet price: the number depends on quantity, spares and whether we install. Send the wall size and a quote comes back within one business day.
