LED that is not a flat rectangle: transparent screens that let a shop window stay a window, a 2-metre LED sphere in our Anaheim warehouse, and screens built to the shape of the space. We sell them, rent them, and in California install them under our own contractor licence.

PixelPro Productions in Anaheim, California sells and rents creative LED displays. Holographic transparent LED comes in four series: Hanging (P3.91, P6.25, P10.4), Poster (P3.91, P6.25), Glass Curtain (P3.91, P6.25, P10.4) and Rental (P3.91, P6.25), all rated at 4,500 nits or more. A 2-metre indoor LED sphere with a 2 mm pixel pitch (P2) is kept in our Anaheim warehouse, to buy or rent, and a can-shaped LED screen is available to rent. We also build custom shapes: a round ceiling screen for Miniso at American Dream, New Jersey, and curved screens for Chubby Cattle in the Los Angeles area in 2023. In 2023 we installed a transparent window screen at Miniso’s Times Square flagship. Rentals cover Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Las Vegas; California installations are made under CSLB licence #1063528.

Transparent LED, the “holographic” screen

A transparent LED screen is built from rows of LEDs with open space between them, so you see through the screen when it is dark and through the gaps when it is lit. A shop window stays a window, and a glass front still lets daylight in.

“Holographic” is the trade name, not a hologram. Content made on a black background shows only the lit pixels, so products, logos and figures seem to float in the air, with the room or the street visible behind them.

Miniso’s first LED screen in a US store, at its Times Square flagship in 2023, included a high-brightness transparent screen in the window facing the Times Square intersection: the store keeps its view of the street, and passers-by see the screen. The Miniso case study →

The LED sphere: 2 metres, P2, in our warehouse

Our LED sphere is 2 metres across (about 6.6 ft), for indoor use, with a 2 mm pixel pitch (P2): fine enough to read up close. It plays video all the way round, so it works from any side of a room, a stage or a booth.

It is in our Anaheim warehouse and travels in its own flight cases. Rent it for an event, an activation or a launch, or buy one: we supply spheres to order.

A sphere is assembled from curved modules on a steel frame, and set up once it is in place. It can stand on its base or hang from rigging; we have flown one over a trade-show booth.

Custom shapes

When the design calls for a circle, a curve or an object, we work out the cabinet layout, the structure that carries it and the power, then build it. Also in our rental stock: an LED screen shaped like a drink can, for brand activations. Ask us for details.

At Chubby Cattle 牛武士 at Diamond Plaza we installed in 2023 a curved LED screen that follows the line of the display fridges, and tall curved screens on the walls and columns.

Buy, rent or have it installed

  • Buy. Transparent LED in all four series, LED spheres and custom shapes, supplied anywhere in the US.
  • Rent. The 2 m LED sphere and the can-shaped screen, with the transparent Rental series to follow, across Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Las Vegas.
  • Install. In California we design the structure and power and install under CSLB licence #1063528. Elsewhere we supply the LED and work alongside the local fit-out team, as we have for Miniso stores across the US.
  • Control. We are an authorised NovaStar dealer, with NCE-certified staff to set up the control system.

Questions about transparent, sphere and shaped LED

Is a holographic LED screen a real hologram?

No. A “holographic” screen is a transparent LED screen: rows of LEDs with open space between them. Content made on a black background shows only the lit pixels, so objects seem to float in the air with the space behind them still visible. No glasses and no projection are involved.

What transparent LED screens does PixelPro offer?

Can I rent a transparent LED screen?

The Rental series of transparent LED is the one PixelPro Productions will rent; we are building that rental stock now, so ask us for dates. Every series, including the Rental series, can be bought.

How big is the LED sphere, and can I rent it?

PixelPro’s LED sphere is 2 metres in diameter (about 6.6 ft), with a 2 mm pixel pitch (P2), for indoor use. It is kept in our Anaheim, California warehouse and can be rented or bought. Rentals cover Southern California, the San Francisco Bay Area and Las Vegas.
