Why it matters
Cable is where installs fail.
Nobody specifies a job around cable. But an undersized feeder, an unshielded run beside a dimmer, or the wrong fan-out on a Friday night is what turns a clean install into an overnight.
01
On the shelf, not in transit
Held in Anaheim. Collect the same day, or have it on a truck that afternoon. Most of the NovaStar channel drop-ships this category, which means three to five days you may not have.
02
Specified by the people who install it
We run these cables on our own projects. Ask which channel count or breakout your job needs and you get an answer from an engineer, not a parts lookup.
03
Or hand us the whole signal path
A CSLB class General B license covers structure, conduit and power — so display, processing and cabling can sit on one contract with one party accountable.
FAQ
Cable questions.
What production managers and facilities teams ask before ordering.
Do you stock cable locally, or is it drop-shipped?
Stocked at our Anaheim warehouse at 3111 E Miraloma Ave, Anaheim. Orders placed by 1 PM Pacific on a business day can normally be collected the same day or shipped that afternoon. That is the reason this category exists — a Socapex fan-out ordered from a drop-shipper arrives after the load-in.
What is a Cat6 snake, and when do I need one instead of individual runs?
A snake carries several shielded Cat6 pairs in one jacket on a reel. For an LED wall it replaces four to eight loose runs between processor and cabinets, so the cable path is faster to lay, faster to strike, and far less likely to be damaged underfoot. Individual runs still make sense for permanent installs inside conduit; snakes are for anything that gets rolled out and rolled back up.
Which Socapex breakout do I need — Edison, powerCON or TRUE1?
The 19-pin Socapex trunk carries six circuits. What you break out to depends on the fixtures: Edison for general stage power and practicals, powerCON or powerCON TRUE1 for LED panels and fixtures that use locking connectors. TRUE1 is the connect-under-load rated version. If you are mixing fixture types, a distro box gives you Edison outlets while the fan-out cables terminate directly.
Are these the same items as your Amazon store?
Yes, the same items are listed on our Amazon storefront. Anyone can buy direct here at the listed price without an account, with free ground shipping over $300; approved dealers pay 10% less and get 5% back on every order. Buying direct also means you can collect in Anaheim and ask an engineer which part you actually need. Amazon is there if you would rather use an existing purchasing account.
Can you supply cable as part of a full LED installation?
Yes — that is the normal case. PixelPro Productions is a CSLB #1063528 class General B contractor, so cable, containment, power and the display itself can all sit on one contract with one party responsible for the signal path. Send us the room and we will schedule the whole thing.
